Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is strongly confident of signing Kylian Mbappe when his contract with PSG is over. The player has signed a pre-contract with the Spanish giants and will be part of their project next season.
Perez though is worried about football in general and the impact country owned clubs are having on the game. The likes of PSG, Manchester City and now Newcastle United are replacing the traditional powerhouse and signing the best players in the world.
PSG showed how powerful ‘country owned clubs can be’ by rejecting 200m euros for Kylian Mbappe who has just a year left to play. They were willing to pay him as much as possible and let him leave when his contract is over.
That show of force has threatened Perez who is now calling for a European Super Club to put every club in a level playing field.
