A racist in disguise: Jurgen Klopp’ remarks about ‘Africa reveals he is no longer the right manager for Liverpool’

They say you never know someone unless you come very close to them or they drop a clinger about a specific person, tribe or continent. Klopp’s remarks about Africa’s biggest tournament, the ‘Africa Cup of Nation’ is pure classism and in all honesty racist.

Ojora Babatunde of OJB Sports was absolutely right to ask him about his derogatory comment about Africa and demand an apology. But Klopp’s bullish refusal to do so shows the type of person he is.

A man who thinks he is untouchable despite lacking the prerequisite managerial skillsets to be tagged one of the best in football’s history. He is not as good as Sir Alex Ferguson, Carlo Ancelotti or Fellippe Lippi. Neither does he posses the exceptional qualities of Pep Guardiola, Zinedine Zidane or even Diego Simone.

He just another manager who owns his success to the exceptional qualities of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Van Dijk and a few other players.

In fact, without Mane and Salah scoring the goals and winning the games, Jurgen Klopp would’ve been fired from Liverpool.

But stupidly, he refuses to acknowledge that his success at Liverpool can be closely tied to presence of African contingency in the club. The presence of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Van Dijk, Alexander Arnold, Divock Origi, Naby Keita, Fabinho and so many more is the reason Liverpool is this good.

To belittle a Continent’s tournament just because Salah and Mane will be involved in it shows how stupidly racist Klopp is..

This case is similar to when everyone was supporting Luis Suarez after he used a racist term on Patrice Evra and later bit everyone he faced.

Klopp episode is similar. Liverpool are winning games but the underling fact is that the manager is a racist.
