Beaten and bruised: Chelsea to lose first spot after losing 3-2 to West Ham

First Manchester City, followed by Liverpool and now Chelsea, West Ham are developing the knack for beating the best team’s in the Premier League.

Against Chelsea, they crawled back twice from the brink of defat to equalize before eventually scoring a sensational goal to leave Thomas Tuchel fidgeting in the touch line.

Thiago Silva might have given Chelsea the life line with a fine goal but M. Lanzini restored parity with a fine spot kick. But, Chelsea later took the lead after Hakin Ziyech sent in a beautiful lobbying pass for Mason Mount to volley in a sensational goal.

West Ham somehow found hope in despair to the irritation of the Blue faced opposition fans. J. Bowen made it 2-2 before A. Masuaku scored in the 87th minute to end the contest and inflict Chelsea they second defeat of the season.

That defeat means Chelsea could be third place if Manchester City and Liverpool get to win their respective matches against Watford and Wolves.
