Latest Barcelona News: Luis Suarez Contract To Be Terminated, Coutinho To Return And Lautaro Martinez Deal Is Close

Barcelona have reportedly put nine of their first team players on sale after a season that saw the club hit rock bottom. The Bluagrana giants finished trophy-less for the first time since 2007-08 season and suffered the biggest defeat in Champions League history.

The abysmal collapse have forced the club to make drastic changes from the top to the bottom and now, several players are expected to follow Quique Setien out of the door. The Catalanyu giants have put nine first team player on sale {Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquet, Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal and Jordi Alaba} are some of the high profile player expected to leave.

According to RAC1, Ronald Koeman recently contacted Barcelona’s third highest goal scoring Luis Suarez to tell him he has no future at the club. The 33-year-old Uruguay international could see his contract terminated by mutual understanding if he insists on staying on.

Barca do respect Suarez his indefatigable contribution to the club success in the past 4 years having won 13 trophies while scoring 198 goals with 109 assists in 283 appearances.

Suarez might be club’s 3rd highest goalscorer but its time he leaves the scenery for a younger and explosive attacker in Lautaro Martinez to continue. The Inter Milan striker is 11 years younger than him and posses similar attacking qualities which Barcelona craves at the moment to the echelon of football.

Spanish based publication Marca now reports a deal is close to be agreed. The paper further reports that Ronald Koeman have given Philippe Coutinho a route back to joining Barcelona having congratulated him for winning the Champions League with Bayern Munic.

Koeman wants him back cause he feels the 27-year-old Brazilian International still has more to offer the club.
