Manchester City might be the prime favourites to sign Lionel Messi this summer but Manchester United aren’t giving up on the fight just yet. The club is hoping to match his wages and offer him a lucrative contract that will keep him at the club for 3 years.
Messi though is yet to decide which of the many clubs he wants to join. First of all, he wants to hold a personal meeting with Barcelona’s board and find an amicable route to leave the club without destroying the relationship he has with the club or the fans.

Sky Sports reports that Manchester United are closing in on signing Aston Villa’s highly rated captain Jack Grealish. The club are hoping to sign him this summer despite Villa’s £75m asking price. United are willing to pay £40m upfront while the rest of the fees will come in as add-ons.
According Marca, Manchester United are interested in signing Real Madrid’s left back Sergio Regulion. The 23-year-old played arguably his best football last season as he helped Sevilla win the Europa League title while on loan.
United were impressed with is display and reports now claim they’re interested in signing the defender.
