No Trent Alexander No Creativity: Liverpool Really Need To Sign Thiago Alcantara

Arsenal have won the 2020 Community Shield after beating Liverpool 5-4 on penalties. The Gunners were brilliant in most part of the match as they attacked with pace, vibe and energy to the detrimental of Liverpool defenders who played a high-line and often struggled to track back fast attackers..

Their struggled created the opportunity for Pierre Aubameyang to score a beautiful curler and spark Arsenal to Live. But in the second half, Jurgen Klopp changed the dynamism of the game by introducing Minamino and Naby Keita who both offered dynamism and a crucial equalizing goals.

The equalize was brilliant from Minamino but still, Liverpool struggled to break down Arsenal who sat too deep for comfort. The Reds lacked a creative player who could pick pockets of defenders and set up marauding forwards or attackers towards goals.

Andrew Robertson kept running in-behind the defenders all game but he had to slow down cause they was no one who could find him with a world class lofted pass. He really missed Trent Alexander Arnold which shouldn’t be so.

Apart from Alexande Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, no other Liverpool player can give an accurate diagonal pass, a razor sharp pass in midfield or a 40 yard loafed pass to find runners in behind the defenders.

This is why Liverpool must sign Bayern Munich superstar Thiago Alcantara who posses the world class pass accuracy and vision to break down teams that sit too deep for comfort or disorganized due to consistent pressure like Arsenal.

Thiago will massively upgrade Liverpool and make them unbeatable and far stronger than they’re right now. He will not only help them retain the Premier League title, he will help them win the FA Cup and the Champions League for the second time in 3 years.
