Barcelona Transfer News; Lautaro Martinez Set to Arrive, Memphis Depay, Gigi Wijnaldum And Dayot Upamecano All Approached

Barcelona are interested in signing some of the finest players in Europe. The club are hoping to revamp the squad and provide Lionel Messi with platform to win more domestic trophies as well as the Champions League which has allude the club for 5 years.

Ronald Koeman has a tough job on his hand and he knows the best way to get the club back on tract and compete against the best in La Liga and in Europe is to say top players while keeping Lionel Messi happy.

Lautaro Martinez- According to Calciomercato, Barcelona are on the verge of signing Inter Milan’s highly rated attacker Lautaro Martinez. The Argentinean international is a boyhood fan of Barca and Lionel Messi who he rates as the best player in the world.

With Messi now set to stay at Camp Nou for another season, Martinez has reportedly agreed to join Barcelona in other to play alongside Messi. Although, signing the attacker won’t be cheap, Inter Milan want $115m for the attacker.

Memphis Depay– French paper L’equipe is reporting that Lyon striker Memphis Depay could be heading to Camp Nou this summer to link up with his former Holland manager Ronald Koeman. The paper further reports that Koeman wants Depay to be Luis Suarez long term replacement.

Gini Wijnaldum– Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool’s highly midfielder Gini Wijnaldum. The big game player is in the final year of his contract and could decide to play as well this summer or the next.

If Liverpool don’t reach an agreement with him, Wijnaldum will leave the club next June as a free agent.

Dayot Upamecano– Barcelona are among the numerous clubs interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamencao. The 21-year- France international is a top defender who combines physical strength, with intelligence, smart inceptions and tackling. His style of play is similar to Germany’s Matt Hummels but, he is faster and much more stronger.

Barcelona meanwhile are hoping to sign the defender as Gerard Pique’s long term replacement.
