Manchester United will sell five of their fringe players who earn astronomical wages but contribute less to the team’s progress. The club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is optimistic of ending the club’s 7 year wait to win another Premier League title but to achieve that fate, he has to get rid of players who have no future at the club.
According to Sky Sports, five players are expected to leave the club as new players will arrive to take their place and provide Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the platform to win trophies.
Phil Jones- The old fashion centre back could be heading out of Manchester United this summer if the club can find a suitable buyer for the 28-year-old English defender.
Jones is United’s fourth choice defender after Harry Maquire, Victor Lindelof and Eric Baily. He will certainly leave Manchester United if any club can offer $24m for his service. United are willing to sell the defender for $24m to any English
Jesse Lingaard- The flamboyant attacker will certainly be on his way out of Old Trafford once Manchester United secure the service of Borrusia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho. The attacking midfielder/ winger is currently deemed surplus to requirement and will play less football next season if he insists on staying at Untied.
Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Daniel James, Odion Ighalo and soon Jadon Sancho will all play ahead of him.
Juan Mata- The highly decorated Spaniard will certainly be sold this summer if a good offer comes in for him. Mata, 32, is no longer a first team player and will be relegated to the bench if remains at United who now have fitter, faster and defensively inclined midfielders.
He will likely return to Spain this summer to rejoin Valencia or Sevilla.
Diogo Dalot– The 21-year-old Portuguese international will certainly be leaving Manchester United this summer. The talented right back is reportedly wanted by Inter Milan, AC Milan and Atlanta who have all inquired about his availability.
Fred- The Brazilian midfielder could be heading out of Manchester United due to the $45m acquisition of Ajax superstar Donny van de Beek who certainly play ahead of him. Van de Beek along with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes will first team football while Fred and Scott MCtominay will be second fiddle.
Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signign the Brazilian this summer and have contacted his agent to discuss over possibility of bringing him to San Siro.
