According to AS Sport, Barcelona are reportedly closing in on signing Lyon striker Memphis Depay. The 26-year-old Dutch international is expressively wanted by his manager Ronald Koeman who feels the talented striker can add fire power to a depleted and aging in front line.
Depay physicality, explosive running, dribbling skills and good finishing makes him a better alternative to Philippe Coutinho or the injury prone Ousame Dembele in attack. He is also versatile player who can play in the left wing, behind the striker or as a main striker.
Lyon though will only sell the striker to Barcelona if they can pay his $30m asking price.
According to Marca, Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal’s right back Hector Bellerin as Nelson Semedo replacement. The Portuguese fullback could be on his way out of Barcelona despite been deemed untransferrable by the club president.
Semedo wants a wage increment and Barcelona have no intention of increasing it. His demands have forced the club to put him up for sale. If and hopes buyers trope in for him. If Semedo does leave Camp Nou, he likely be replaced by Arsenal’s sensational right back Hector Bellerin.
Barcelona are also interested in signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez. Milan’s sporting director Javier Zanetti might have waved off transfer talks between both clubs but, he did point out Lautaro Martinez £110m transfer clause.
If Barcelona can reach an agreement on how to pay his release clause, the attacker will become a Barcelona player.
