Liverpool Crush Lincoln City 7-2 To Set Up a fourth-Round Clash Against Arsenal

Liverpool have crushed Lincoln City 7-2 at the Lner Stadium to set up a mouth watering tie against Arsenal. The Reds started with a much changed side as 10 of the 11 players who started Chelsea were dropped.

Virgil van Dijk was the only player to retain his place but still, Liverpool provide too difficult for host they conceded the first goal inside the 10 minutes after Xherdan Shaqiri squad a superb free kick. Before Takumi Minamino added the second after nine minutes of play.

The League side later conceded two goals in 4 minutes to Curtis Jones who made it 4-0 going into the break.


Takumi Minamino added a fifth immediately after the second half before Tayo Edun pulled one back from the host on the hour mark. Marko Grujic then made 6-1 before Lewis Montsma scored the second for home side.

Divock Origi then scored the seventh goal late as Liverpool set up a fourth round clash with Arsenal who they play next week Monday in the Premier League.
