Manchester United Transfer News: Cavani And Jovic Approached, Dele Alli Set For Loan Move And Arsenal Star Ainsley Maitland-Niles Linked

Manchester United are optimistic of adding more reinforcement to their squad before the transfer window closes. The club chairman Ed Woodward have opened talks with several players and he is certain a deal will be struck before deadline day.

According to Spanish publication Marca, Manchester United have opened talks to sign former PSG star Edinson Cavani. The striker is open to joining any club willing to offer him first team football as well as two year contract worth £200,000-a-week.

United do have the funds to sign the attacker but they’re also in contact with Real Madrid flop Jovic who is 11 years younger than Cavani and have a resale value. Real Madrid will entrain offers for Jovic and will gladly sell him off if Manchester United offer a suitable transfer fee.


Sky Sport reports that Manchester United are interested in signing Dele Alli in on a season loan deal. The English midfielder is currently surplus to requirement at Tottenham Hotspur and a loan or permanent move seems to be the best alternative for the player to resurrect his fledging career.

Finally, Germany based paper Sport1 is now claiming that Manchester United are closing in on signing Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg posted on Twitter handle; ‘Manchester United are 80% close to signing MaitlandNiles. The deal will be completed in the next days {£22m + addons}’.

Manchester United want a left back and have approached several players including Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland- Niles.
