Edinson Cavani has touched down at Manchester to undergo a medical before signing a two year contract worth £210,000-a-week and £10m per annum. His signing is statement of intent from a club who are still optimistic of rolling back their years of dominance under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Cavani’s will be tasked with providing goals and assists for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side who are currently struggling to win games. He will also be needed to provide the leadership and experience to get United back on track.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have offered £20m to sign FC Porto’s highly rated left back Alex Telles. Although, Porto are requesting for £25m for the full back even though Telles is in the final year of his contract.
United though need him now and have upped their bid to £20m for the defender.
Sky Sports further reports that Manchester United could sign Ousame Dembele on a season loan deal before the transfer window closes.
Talks are still on-going between both clubs who are thrashing out terms for his transfers.
According to Marca, Barcelona want United to sign Dembele on a 2 year loan deal so he can build up his fitness level and match practice but, Manchester United are only interested in signing him for a season before going again to sign their number priority- Jadon Sancho.
