Liverpool have reportedly shown interest in signing Bayern Munich star David Alaba. The 28-year-old Austrian international has fallen out of love with the Bavarian giants after rejecting their recent contract offer and then labelled ‘greedy’ by the club’s president Uli Hoeness.
According to Bild, the disparaging statement have further pushed Alaba to the club exit door rather than the traditional -sit- and- sign contract alongside the sporting director or club president.
His availability have seen lots of clubs show interest in him including Liverpool who want a versatile player capable of playing in various offence and defensive role. A player similar to James Milner but stronger and fitter.
Sky Sports reports that Liverpool are interested in signing Stoke City’s highly rated goalkeeper Jack Butland. The club are currently in talks with Stoke City and a deal is expected to happen before Friday deadline.
Signing the 28-year-old became imperative after Liverpool’s first choice keeper Alisson Becker picked up an injury that will rule him out for six months. His absence means that Liverpool are left with Adrain whose tendency to make school boy in high profile matches are very high.
Finally, Liverpool will likely sell their academy graduate Yasser Larouci before the Friday deadline. The 19-year-old rejected the club’s recent contract offer having felt his transition to the first team won’t be possible after Liverpool signed Konstantinos Tsimikas rather giving him a chance.
Unimpressed with Liverpool, the Algerian have decided to run out his contract and leave. Liverpool though are hoping to make some money from selling him rather than letting him leave for free.
