Europa League Beckons: Average Real Madrid Leave It Late To Draw Borrusia Gladbach 2-2

Real Madrid have continued their stuttering start to the Champions league season by drawing 2-2 to a spirited Borrusia Monchengalbach side.

Both goals were scored by Marcus Thuram who evaded Madrid’s lazy defense to poke in the first goal of the match to the distraught of Madrid’s watching bench and Zinedine Zidane who stood perplexed. He then repeated the trick minute’s later by tapping in a rebound shot to make it 2-0.

The defeat was looming and Madrid president Florentino Perez was visibly seen twitching on his set.

But Madrid been Madrid. The fight back was inevitable and minutes later, Karim Benzema pulled one back to set up a feisty finish to a pulsating clash.

Casemiro then made it 2-2 in the 93rd minute to save Madrid’s face and earn them a point. Los Blancos are not rock bottom of Group B and could be heading to the Europa League with similar display.

Real Madrid are the one of the weakest team in the Champions League and it will be a miracle if they get out of this group or even go as far the round of 16.
