Barcelona Transfer News: Kylian Mbappe Approached, Wijnaldum Agrees Pre-Contract And Eric Garcia Set for January Move

Gini Wijnaldum will likely sign a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona this January having rejected a contract extension with Liverpool.

Wijnaldum will join Barcelona as a free agent his summer or, join them in a $15m deal this January if Liverpool decides to sell him rather let him leave for free. The 29-year-old has reportedly told his closet friends he will leave the club this summer and move to club where he can be appreciated and paid handsomely.

According to Marca, Barcelona are also interested in signing Manchester City star Eric Garcia. The 19-year-old central defender was reportedly trialed by City last summer and a bid believed to be $9m plus $7.5m add-ons was submitted for him in the closing minutes of the transfer window but, it was rejected instantly.

Manchester City wanted $18m upfront for the defender or no deal. The deal might have failed to go through last summer but this January, Barcelona are optimistic of signing the player.

Marca also reports that Barcelona are interested in signing PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe. The attacker will leave PSG at the end of the season and join one of Europe’s finest clubs.

Real Madrid are the firm favourite to sign him, but face competition from Liverpool and now Barcelona who have now approached his agent to discuss over the possibility of signing him.
