Liverpool Transfer News: Klopp Wants David Alaba In January, Perr Schuurs Talks Intensifies And Divock Origi To Leave

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich star David Alaba.

Klopp is a huge fan of the 28-year-old Austrian international who have proven in the last 11 seasons he is a world class player.

With Bayern, Alaba has lifted 26 trophies including 8 consecutives Bundelsiga titles and 2 Champions League trophies. That impressive record coupled with his versatility, technical intelligence, pace and defensive qualities makes him the ideal player to wrestle Liverpool and make them a force to reckon with.

Liverpool are in dear need of a central defender but in Alaba, they’ve a player who is capable of playing across the back four, in midfield and in some occasion as a winger.

Jurgen Klopp wants him and has reportedly called him to persuade him to join Liverpool this January or in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have intensified talks in signing Ajax defender Perr Shuurs. The Reds are currently searching for a defender having seen two of their most reliable centre backs {Van Dijk and Joel Gomez} suffer long term injures.

The Injuries to Van and Gomez means Liverpool have only one recognizable defender in Joel Matip who is sadly, injury prone. He supported by Fabinho, Rhys Williams and Nathaniel Philips.

All four have played well so far, but Liverpool still need one more defender to retain the Premier League and hopefully, the Champions League.

Perr Shuurs will be a good signing but, he will need time to adjust to the first team.

Daily Mail further reports that Liverpool will allow Divock Origi leave the club this summer. The Belgium attacker is currently deemed surplus to requirement due to the impressive goal scoring streak of Diejo Jota.

Jota’s hasn’t just replaced Divock Origi in Klopp’s thinking, he has also replaced Roberto Firmino who is currently struggling to play consistent football or score goals.
