Liverpool star Diojo Jota will miss 2 months of action after sustaining a serious knee injury against Midtjylland in the Champions League.
According to the Record, Jota picked up the injury in a meaningless game against Midtjylland and will now miss two months of action which will leave Liverpool with just Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane as their main goal scorers.
Firmino sadly is not a clinical finisher and can’t be relied upon to score regular goals.
The Reds are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona superstar Frenkie De Jong as Gini Wijnaldum’s long term replacement.
Wijnaldum will likely be leaving Liverpool this summer having rejected the club’s contract extension and will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona, PSG or Juventus this January.
HIs departure will certainly leave a massive vacuum in the Reds team but, Klopp is optimistic of beating Bayern Munich to Frenkie De Jong who will be available this summer.
De Jong won’t be cheap though, Barcelona want €70m their superstar
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano. The 21-year-old French international defender is highly coveted by the best clubs in Europe and Liverpool are hoping to sign him this January or in the summer.
Upamecano though won’t be cheap to sign. He currently has a €50m release clause.
