Barcelona are in pole position to sign Manchester City out of contract star Sergio Aguero this summer. The 32-year-old will likely leave Manchester City this summer having struggled to convince Pep Guardiola he deserve a contract extension.
Guardiola would’ve known Aguero is digressing and his persistent injury worries coupled with his lack of fitness means City must start looking for a replacement.
Barcelona though want him to lead the attacking lines along with Lionel Messi who happens to be best of friends. Aguero arrival will certainly keep Messi at Barcelona.
According to AS Sport, Gini Wijnaldum and Eric Garcia have both signed pre-contract agreement with Barcelona. Wijnaldum has confide to his friends and family that he will leave Liverpool this summer except the club are willing to double his current wages.
Gini wants £140,000-a-week wage or he is off while Eric Garcia just wants to return to his boyhood club.
AS Sport further reports that former Barcelona president Joan Laporta passed up the opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Laporta preferred Ronaldinho to the exciting winger back then.
Picking Ronaldinho ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo was the best decision Joan Laporta made. It made Barcelona a world class team and paved the way for Lionel Messi to get into the first team.
Had Cristiano Ronaldo joined, Barcelona’s style of play would’ve changed to fit his individual strength and that would’ve affected Lionel Messi development.
