Seria A giants AC Milan have won the race to sign Chelsea’s highly rated defender Tomori Fikayo. The defender is currently deemed surplus to requirement and free to leave the club in serach of regular football.
Chelsea meanwhile have accepted AC Milan’s proposal to sign him on a six month loan deal before paying £27m upfront at the end of the season.
According to Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tomori be traveling to AC Milan next week to sign a contract that will define the rest of his career.
He will be accompanied by Bayern Munich and Croatian legend Mario Mandzukic who is set to join the club on a 1 year deal.
Although, Tomori wasn’t AC Milan first choice.
The club wanted Strasbourg’s Mohamed Simakan but, the 20-year-old had already agreed a deal in principle to join Red Bull Leipzig who probably wanted him to replace the outgoing Dayot Upamecano this summer.
