Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign Bayern Munich out of contract star David Alaba. The 28-year-old Austrian international decided to end his 11 year sting with Bayern Munich after requesting for £200,000-a- week which was abruptly rejected.
The refusal to offer him what he felt he deserves meant Alaba will leave the Bavarian giants this summer and join a club ready to pay him £11m per season.
His availability in the transfer market attracted some of the biggest clubs in the world. The likes of Juventus, PSG, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and even Everton all came knocking at his agent door Pini Zahavi.
In the end, Alaba picked Real Madrid ahead of the rest despite the club’s tight economic restrictions but, willingness to pay him £200,000-a-week.
Alaba’s signing is massive relief to Real Madrid who now have a world class defender to replace Sergio Ramos in centre back and even Marcelo in left back. Alaba can also play in midfield and in some occasion as a winger.
With Bayern Munich, Alaba have 25 titles and counting..
