Liverpool News: Reds Offered Two Defenders, Matip Returns For Burnley And Alaba ‘Not’ A Real Madrid Player

According to TalkSport, Liverpool have the ample opportunity of signing not one but two top central defenders.

The Reds can sign Lille’s defender Sven Botman in a £ 25m deal this January or, can choose to sign Real Madrid defender Eder Militao on loan with the option of signing him for £ 44m at the end of the summer.

Liverpool need a top defender to relieve the pressure of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho who are badly missed in midfield. The absence of both midfielders have made Liverpool weak and easily penetrable.

Jurgen Klopp has now admitted that his team won’t the Premier Leagued and will be lucky to finish in the top 4.

George Alaba has refuted the claims made by that his son ‘David’ has signed a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid.

David is still a Bayern Munich player and his main focus now is playing well and helping Bayern win as many trophies as possible. Although, David will leave the Bundesliga champions this summer having rejected a contract extension to stay at the club.

He will study the various offers from Europe’s finest clubs and then decide if he wants to continue in Europe or move to oversea where his wages will be tripled.

Liverpool star Joel Matip is back in action and will be in contention to start against Burnley at Anfield.

The defender has recovered from an adductor injury and Jurgen Klopp felt it was best to give him more time to acclimatize with the intensity of the game before thrusting him into high profile matches.
