Arsenal have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Martin Odegaard on a season loan deal. The player will sign a six months loan deal after which Arsenal will pay €,2.8m plus half of his current €,70,000-a-week wages.
The deal though does not involve a buyout option. Arsenal will take him for six months and after that, Odegaard will return to Real Madrid.
Another deal could materialize but only if, Zinedine Zidane wants him gone or the player wants to leave.
Odegard will be hoping to be play a stellar role in Arsenal’s season as the Gunners aim to finish in the top 4 and go as far possible in the Europa League.
The 22-year-old will be expected to provide the incisive passes and the creativity in the midfield.
