Liverpool’s centre back crises could finally be over thanks to the availability of former Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.
The 32-year-old is a free agent after been realized by Turkish side Denizlispor after just five games. Subotic is no stranger to Jurgen Klopp style of play having played for him at Mainz and Borrusia Dortmund where they went on to win five trophies including reaching the Champions League final.
Although, Subotic have been blighted with injuries over the years and his pace and fitness level is not what it used to be.
According to Sky Sports, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is confident of retianign the Premier League title despite losing two of his most reliable defenders.
The impact have been costly on the team. Liverpool are out of the Caraboa and FA Cup and now sit 4th in the table 7 points off the league leaders Manchester City. But, Klopp is not giving up yet, he believes Liverpool will get back to basic and prove their superiority when they face Tottenham away from home.
Sky Sports further reports that Liveprool’s captain Jordan Henderson and injury prone Joel Matip will both be back to face Tottenham Hotspur.
Henderson will be needed to provide the leadership required to get Liverpool out of their current quagmire while Matip will be expected to keep Harry Kane and the explosive Son Heugn-Min quiet.
