Blame Klopp: Liverpool Top The Chart For ‘The Most Injured Players’

Liverpool is the best team in the Premier League and that is down to four years of meticulous planning. The club manager Jurgen Klopp was given time to reshape the squad and inculcate his playing principle to the team.

His first season though wasn’t easy. Half of the Liverpool squad were injured due to incessant running and pressing demanded by Klopp. Players ran their breath out week in, week out until their body gave up.

Klopp wasn’t deterred but determined to build a squad ‘of mentality monsters’, who could win the Champions League and the Premier League.

Happily that was achieved but it came at a cost. Some of Liverpool’s first team players are just too fragile to adjust to Klopp’s over demanding style of football.

Liverpool currently have seven players who are injury prone and sadly not very reliable.

Players like Xherdan Shaqiri & Oxlade Chamberlian {both fit cause they’re not playing}, Joel Matip {injured 8 times in 4 months}, Naby Keita {injury prone}.

Jordan Henderson {always out with cramps and thigh problems}, Alisson Becker {injury prone} and Joe Gomez {injury prone}.
