Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Preston North End defender Ben Davies. The Championship club will receive £2m upfront for his services along with other add-ons that could rise to £1.5m.
Davies isn’t the glamorous signing Liverpool fans would’ve wanted after watching their most reliable defender Van DIjk and Joe Gomez suffer serious injuries but, he is the best option available for the money the boards are willing to release.
The 25-year-old posses the qualities Jurgen Klopp is looking for and he will be saddle with the responsibility of marshalling the Reds defense.
Ben Davies is revered for his pace, aerial strength, physicality, good tackling and reading of the game.
