Barcelona star Ansu Fati will again be going under the knife to correct a problem in the meniscus of his knee. Fati had previously undergone two knee operations to fix his knee which sadly didn’t work.
Distressed by the pain, Fati was the first to complain of pain in his knee which prompted the medics to scan his knee and discover build up of fluids in his knee. The attacker will now be undergoing a third knee operation and be hoping this time around it works.
The time frame to recover properly after the operation normally takes four months meaning that Fati is ruled out for the rest of the season.
According AS Sport, Barcelona will likely sell off seven of their top rated players this summer to reduce the debt owned. The club’s debt profile currently stands at £1.2b and 1/3 of the debt is centers around player’s wages.
£250,000- £200,000 players like Ousame Dembele and Phillipe Coutinho have to moved out of the club while the likes of Junior Firpo, Samuel Umtiti, Miralem Pjanic, Martin Braithwaite and the club’s greatest player Lionel Messi has to go.
Barcelona might want Messi to stay but, they can’t keep paying him £139m-a-year when they’re almost bankrupt. Messi must accept reasonable contracts like £10m or £15m a year to remain at Barcelona or leave.
Reports have emerged that Samuel Umtiti rejected the opportunity to join Liverpool on a season loan deal on transfer deadline day. Rejecting Liverpool might the Reds have to settle for Ozan Kabak after finding it difficult to sign a world class defender without spending crazy money.
Umtiti though do have his injury problems but when in form, he is one of the best defenders in the world in the world.
