Great news coming in from Anfield is that Virgil van Dijk is back and stepping up his recovery.

The Dutch defender as expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament damage against Everton but, the defender was determined as ever to back in contention for first team football.

Van Dijk spent much of his recovery in Dubai’s world class training facility Nad al Sheba Complex and now he is back to Liverpool’s $50m Kirby training centre.

The defender is currently undergoing light training and will soon be ready for first team action. If Van Dijk those return in time, it will a huge embarrassment to Oxlade Chamberlian who spent a year and 3 months before recovery.

According to the Sun, Jurgen Klopp will drop Alisson Becker for the upcoming clash with RB Liepzig. Becker is out of form and his back to back howler against Manchester City and Leicester City has given Klopp enough reason to keep the Brazilian on the bench.

Klopp will play the fast improving Caoimhin Kelleher ahead of the Brazilian and instruct him to bold and brave during corner kicks or set piece.

Sadly, the Champions League is the only realistic trophy Liverpool can win this summer and the Reds needy a confident and reliable keeper in between the sticks which Alisson is not at the moment.

Jurgen Klopp has bruised aside the assertion that Liverpool are planning to sack him. The management understands why the team is struggling {injuries to all the defenders} and do not blame Klopp for it.

They now know they have to strengthen the team especially in defense and that is what they will be trying to do this summer not searching for a new manager.
