Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is set to miss two weeks of action with a groin injury based on early prognosis.
The 30-year-old was visibly seen clutching his hamstring after attempting to burst through defense to goal although with some minimal contact from Doucoure.
Henderson’s injury will be a big blow to Jurgen Klopp who now have 5 of his first choice defenders sidelined. Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Fabinho and now Jordan Henderson.
Klopp must now rely on Ozan Kabak, Nat Philips, Rhys William an Ben Davies to protect his backline which frankly won’t be easy.
Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is quickly losing the unwavering support he enjoyed some few months ago. Klopp out is now trending on Twitter.
Some of the Reds staunch supporter want him gone having watched the team implode under his watch. Liverpool will not win a domestic trophy this season and they’re chances of finishing in the top 4 is becoming slimmer with every home defeat.
According to Liverpool Echo, the Reds prolific forward Diojo Jota will be in contention to face Sheffield United.
Jota presence will be massive uplift to the Reds fans and particularly the players who have struggled to finish off their chance.
With Jota leading the attack, Liverpool have a huge chance of finishing in the top 4 and going as far as possible in the Champions League.
