Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp will be dropping Roberto Firmino for the upcoming clash against Sheffield United. The manager wants to arrest the club’s massive decline and feels its time he drops attackers who are not scoring and give others a chance to play.
After all, what we could go wrong.
Klopp’s team have already lost 4 consecutive home matches for the first time since 1923 and this year, they haven’t scored a goal through open play. Dropping Firmino for Divock Origi or the returning Diojo Jota might be the catalyst needed to get the team winning.
According to The Express, Liverpool are plotting to sign Sevilla’s highly rated winger Lucas Ocampos. The Reds want him this summer and will try using Takumi Minamino as a bargaining chip.
Although, Ocampos have a €56m release clause which Liverpool are hooping to reduce to €36m with Minamio included.
The Express further reports that Liverpool manager Jurgen klopp has put all his focus on winning the Champions League having realized he will not win a domestic trophy this season and his chances of finishing in the top 4 is slim.
Klopp is confident of achieving this aim with Joe Gomez, Fabinho, Joe Gomez, Diojo Jota and the big man Van Dijk all returning to full fitness. Van Dijk’s return is a massive confidence boast.
Meanwhile, the club captain Jordan Henderson will spend a few weeks on the sideline but will be back for the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal.
