Real Madrid are plotting an audacious bid to sign one of the world’s most revered player this summer. The club is optimistic of beating Liverpool to PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe who is yet to decide his future.
The 22-year-old isn’t really sure if PSG is the right club for him to develop into the world best player neither is he sure Real Madrid or Liverpool can offer him similar pay package as PSG.
But if Real Madrid do find a means to convince him to join, Mbappe’s arrival will be a boast to Madrid’s chances of dominating the La Liga and the Champions league.
But, it will also be a big problem to the club’s most expensive player Eden Hazard.
First, Mbappe prefers to play in the left side of the attack although he can play as center forward or a right winger but, he prefers to play in the left so he cut in and shoot with his stronger right foot.
Sadly, that is where Eden Hazard also loves to play but, if the physically fit and explosive Mbappe wants left, Zinedine Zidane will play him there. Hazard will have to sit on the bench, learn to play in the right or simply leave the club.
Secondly, Real Madrid will have to balance the book by lowering Hazard or Mbappe’s wages. Madrid can’t be paying an injury plagued Hazard £400,000-a-week and then offering similiar wages to a free scoring Mbappe.
Frankly, it doesn’t make sense knowing the impact Covid-19 have had on Madrid’s finances.
Thirdly, Madrid will want to recoup some money from Eden Hazard by sending him back to Chelsea on loan with an option to buy.
The club president Florentino Perez don’t see him replicating Cristiano Ronaldo’s fate but instead, he is worried about Hazard becoming the next Kaka.
If Madrid can get £60m to £70m for Eden Hazard, Florentino Perez will be the happiest man in the world.
