Manchester United News: Fernandes Rejects Contract, Top Goalkeeper Approached And United Appoint Football Director

Bruno Fernandes has reportedly rejected Manchester United latest offer to improve his contract. The 24-year-old wants to be assured that United can match his ambition rather than offering him crazy money to remain at the club.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have doubled Fernandes weekly wages from £100,000 to £200,000-a-week along with the option of extending his contract for further year, taking him to 2026.

Fernandes will not sign the deal until he is sure Manchester United will invest on the squad and bring superstars that can help him compete for major trophies and win it.

The attacker has scored 35 goals with 21 assists i just 63 appearances for Untied.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing a world class goalkeeper this summer. The club are interested in signing Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak but his £103m release clause will certainly be a hindrance.

United are also interested in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Ginaluigi Donnarumma who will become a free agent this summer or Lille’s highly rated Mike Maignan. This summer there’s a strong possibility Sergio Romero will leave and De Gea who is wanted by PSG.

For the first time in Manchester United history, the club have appointed a director of football. The club’s new director of football is John Murtough while Darren Flecther who we all know and certainly loved to watch during his playing days is the new Technical director.

Both men will be tasked with getting Manchester United back to its feet.
