Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reached a verbal agreement to sign Bayern Munich star David Alaba.
The 28-year-old Austrian international will leave the Bavarian giants this summer having rejected a contract extension to remain with them. Alaba wants a better pay package and if Barcelona can offer him one along with a realistic opportunity of winning more trophies, he will join them.
Although, Barcelona will face competition from Real Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool and even Manchester City who are interested in the versatile defender.
Barcelona have placed a €45m price tag on their highly rated right back Sergi Roberto. According to Deportivo Mundo, the 29-year-old is reportedly wanted by some of the biggest clubs in Europe and Barcelona are hoping to cash on the defender.
Roberto though wants to stay at Arsenal but if Barcelona do sign Hector Bellerin, he will be forced to leave the club this sumer.
Deportivo Mundo further reports that Barcelona president have reached an agreement to sign five of the finest players in Europe.
Laporta has reached a a verbal deal to sign David Alaba, Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, Gini Wijnaldum and surprisingly, Hakimi Achraf.
Next summer, expect to see a top Barcelona side aiming to win lots of tropies this season.
