Barcelona News: Wijnaldum Signs Pre-Contract, Coutinho Set For Arsenal And Laporta Vows To Clear Club Debt

Barcelona are reportedly open to selling off Philippe Coutinho this summer. The club wants the £142m attacker off their wage book having realized he has nothing to offer the club.

According to the Express, Barcelona will have to sell the attacker to Arsenal quick in other to avoid paying Liverpool £20m.

Coutinho currently have an appearance clause in his contract that makes it mandatory for Barcelona to pay Liverpool £28m after 100 appearances.

Liverpool star Gini Wijnaldum has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona. The Dutch superstar will not be signing a contract extension with Liverpool having said ‘No’ to an extension.

Wijnaldum do want to stay at Liverpool but he wants the club to improve his wages from £70,000 to £100,000-a-week. Barcelona is reportedly offering him £120,000-a-week while Inter Milan is offering £140,000-a-week.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reveled a detailed plan to fix the club’s massive debt profile. Barcelona currnetly owns $1.2b of which some are short term loan deals.

Laporta is hoping to clear them off through methodological planning, players and merchandize sells.
