Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly interested in playing for Barcelona. Lukaku is arguably the best striker in Serie A and he is proving his pedigree by leading Inter Milan to their first Seria A title in 10 years.
Barcelona are interested in him and will try signing him this summer. Lukaku though won’t be cheap to sign but he cost $75m less than Borrusia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
Barcelona ace Philippe Coutinho will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his left meniscus. The Brazilian international has now gone under the knife twice to fix the problem but sadly, it failed to produce the needed result.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Coutinho will miss the rest of the season as he recuperates from his recent surgery. He will miss 2 to 3 months of action.
The good part of the surgery is that Barcelona won’t have to pay Liverpool $20m this season. Coutinho contract clause states that if he reaches 100 appearances for the club, Liverpool get paid $20m.
But if Barcelona do win the La Liga and Copa Del Rey title, it boast their pedigree and provide the needed funds to make serious adjustments to the squad.
Deportivo Mundo further reports that Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman believes he can win the La Liga title this season.
Barcelona are just a point from Atletico Madrid with 9 games left to play. If they beat 3rd placed Real Madrid next in the El Clasico, they will certainly strengthen their resolve to become champions.
Koeman’s team is working towards that goal and believe they can be champions at the end fo the season.
