There’s no denying that Sergio Ramos presence has been immerse to Real Madrid’s success over the years. The Spanish veteran have won 17 trophies with Real Madrid including 4 Champions League of which 3 were won consecutively.
Ramos is a football legend and his legacy will be remembered forever. Although, he might not have made the right decisions in some matches but, he still manages to repay the club by steering the club to unbelievable wins and titles like the 3 consecutive Champions League trophies.
Sadly, Ramos time is finally coming to an end thanks to Zinedine Zidane’s ability to create a winning team without him or Cristiano Ronaldo. Frankly, Real Madrid don’t need him and now needs to move on so others can take his place.
Eder Militao is finally proven he is a £50m defender– Keeping Sergio Ramos has limited Militao’s chance to prove he is a top defender. But the defender set to leave this summer as a free agent, the Brazilian can finally show the rest of the world what he is made of.
And with a manager like Zinedine Zidane, Militao can become the best defender in the world.
Sergio Ramos aggressive style of play is outdated– Ramos is a very aggressive player and his tendency to get set off in key matches always affects Real Madrid in the long run. Madrid don’t need defenders like that anyone.
They need a calm and collected defender like Virgil van Dijk or Eder Militao who defend properly and not get sent off easily.
Ramos wage request don’t make sense and Madrid are winning games without him- Ramos is demanding Real Madrid improve his wages by offering him a 2 year contract worth £13m a year.
Ramos is 35-years-old not 28 therefore, offering him such a contract can be risky. Secondly, Madrid don’t even need him thanks to Zidane who shaped Nacho and Militao into proper defenders.
Raphael Varane, Nacho, Militao and David Alaba [soon to arrive] are good enough to provide Real Madrid the platform to win trophies.
