Barcelona News: Messi Against Super League, Aguero Offered 2 Years Contract And Laporta Targets 5 Players

Barcelona have reportedly offered Sergio Aguero a two year contract to join the club. Aguero will become a free agent this summer after Manchester City decided against offering him a new contract.

His 10 year success with City will forever be remembered with a stature of him, David Silva and Vincent Kompany set to be erected at the Etihad.

Aguero’s availability is good news for Barcelona and Lionel Messi who have been yearning for a world class striker to play alongside since Luis Suarez was sold against his wish.

According to Marca, Lionel Messi is not in support of the controversial European Super League. The Argentinean feels football is about merit and inclusiveness and not a medium for some billionaires to make millions in the expense of the sport.

He wants the game to be open and merit oriented and not just a close shop for some few rich clubs. Barcelona do have financial problems but, Messi don’t believe joining the European Super League is the only way to solve their financial problem

Barcelona president Joan Laporta is interested in signing five of the best players in the world.

The president is hoping to bring in Manchester City stars Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia, Borrusia Dortmund attacker Erling Haaland, Liverpool’s Gini Wijnaldum and Sevilla’s Jules Kaunde.
