First Trophy In The Bag: Manchester City Win The Caroboa Cup For The Fourth Consecutive Season

Manchester City have won the Caraboa Cup for the fourth consecutive season after beating Tottentham 1-0 at the Wembley Stadium.

It is now the eighth time they’ve won in 10 years which goes to show powerful they’ve grown in that competitions.

Against Tottentham Hotspur, City were the better team in all ramification and should’ve won the game in the first half had the likes of Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and IIkay Gundogan taken their chances.

That flagrant waste of chances visibly irritated Pep Guardiola who kept remonstrating in the touchline before Ayemeric Laporte headed in Kevin De Bruyne’s delicious cross.

Excitement mixed with concern rippled all over Pep’s face but, it also tells him what he needs to work on and fast before facing PSG in the Champions league semi final first leg.

Tottenham meanwhile will end the season trophy less like it they’ve always done since 2008.
