Real Madrid News: Marcelo attacks Zidane, Mbappe ‘holds talk’ and Zidane to step down as Madrid boss

Real Madrid’s veteran defender Marcelo has reportedly aired his grievance to Zinedine Zidane after months of sitting on the bench.

His altercation forced Zizou to bench the 33-year-old whose regular starting berth was taken by the younger and fitter Ferland Mendy.

But with French man injured, Marcelo was hoping to get the nod to start games but Zidane preferred younger players or makeshift wingers to Marcelo who sadly have lost that yard of pace to attack and defend at the same time.

Marcelo will not be in contention to start against Granada or any La Liga match if doesn’t apologies to Zidane.

Mbappe representatives hold talks with Real Madrid

Real Madrid have reportedly meant Kylian Mbappe representatives to discuss over the possibility of signing the French superstar this summer.

Mbappe will likely not be expecting his contract with PSG have grown frustrated with the club’s lack of European trophies. Mbappe wants to win the Champions League which will then guarantee him a shot of winning the Ballon d’Or and the UEFA player of the year.

With just a year left on his contract, Mbappe is willing to run it down or force PSG to sell him off this summer rather lose him for free.

Zidane to step down as Real Madrid boss

Zinedine Zidane will likely be stepping down as Real Madrid boss at the end of the season. The French man is already losing the confidence of the some players in the team and the recent altercation with Marcelo proves Zizou is close to having a split dressing room.

But, the club president Florentino Perez must choose between selling off fringe players like Marcelo, Isco or Gareth Bale or risk losing Zidane for the second time.
