Ghana president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo has called on Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi to switch his allegiance from England to Ghana. The talented winger will not be part of England’s Euro 2020 squad after been omitted by Gareth Southgate.
That omission has worked in favour of Ghana who are now working assiduously to enlist the 21-year-old in their U-23 team.
Speakign delightful of meeting Odoi, the president said: “On Monday, 7th June 2021, Ghanaian-born Chelsea footballer, Callum Hudson-Odoi, paid a courtesy call on me at Jubilee House, the seat of our nation’s presidency,” the Ghana ministry of information has stated.
“Amongst others, I urged the Minister for Youth and Sports to explore the possibility of having Callum switch nationality, and play for the Black Stars.”
The Uk born player in among the list of players the Black Stars are hoping to bring back to the country. They’re also targeting Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah and Brighton and Hove Albion fullback Tariq Lamptey.
