Manchester City are reportedly open to selling six of their highly rated players this summer in other to raise funds for major investments. The club is hoping to build on last season success by bringing in Aston Villa star Jack Grealish and Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane.
But selling both players will cost a combined fee of over €200m which frankly will take a toll on City’s current wage book. To address the issue, Pep Guardiola is willing to allow six of his trusted lieutenants leave the club so funds can be generate.
According to Marca, Manchester City are willing to sale Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez, Bernando Silva, IIkay Gundogan and Aymeric Laporte to raise funds for Jack Grealish and Harry Kane.
Gundogan’s sale will prove difficult knowing he is in the best form his career and Pep Guardiola will need him now more than ever to score the goals.
