Eden Hazard has bruised aside the asserssaton that he was signed to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. The Belgium international believes his set of skills is completely different from Ronaldo so expecting him to replace the 35-years-old simply don’t make sense.
Injuries though have affected Hazard’s stay at Real Madrid but the attacker has vowed to deliver next season.
Asked if he can still replicate Cristian Ronaldo’s achievement at Madrid, Hazard told reporters:
“That’s another thing, I’m not Cristiano Ronaldo”, Hazard said to reporters.
“Ronaldo scores 60 or 70 goals in a year, i score that many in seven or eight years. We’re different. I’ll never jump as high as him to win a header, but didn’t come here with the idea of being the new Ronaldo. I just have to be Eden Hazard”.
Hazard is currently with the Belgium national team and he will be hoping to regain his form and fitness.
