Portugal have won they’re opening match of the European Championship with a 2-0 win over Hungary. The match was tightly contested with both sides attacking with vibes while keeping a defensive shape to neutralize the threat of the opposition.
The fascinating aspect of the match was the ear deafening sound made by 60,000 spectators who cheered every kick, touch and pass in the match until Portugal made a large section of the fans quiet.
Raphael Guerreiro scored the first match of the game in the 84th minute before Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in quick fashion.
First, he scored from the spot to make it 2-0 before exchanging a quick pass with Rafa SIlva, dafts into the box, rounds the keeper and calmly slot the ball into an empty net.
By so doing, Ronaldo is the first and only player to have scored 11 goals in an European championship.. Strangely, he is not yet done.
Least to forget, Ronaldo now needs 4 more goals to become the greatest goal scorer in an international competition.
