Manchester United have submitted an audacious bid to sign Real Madrid superstar Raphael Varane. The french defender is highly rated amongst his pairs and his skillsets coupled with his experiences makes an ideal partner for Harry Maguire.
United have moved ahead of his many suitors by offering Real Madrid £50m for the defender. The bid will certainly be considered knowing Varane has no intention of sticking around except Real Madrid were to boast his earnings from £180,000-a-week to £300,000-a-week.
That frankly won’t be happening therefore, Varane will be sold this summer rather than been allowed to see out his remaining one year contract.
According to Marca, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez feels the defender is worth more than £50m and will only sell if United or whoever is interested in him offer £70m.
Varane has spent 10 years at Real Madrid and lifted 17 trophies including 4 Champions League trophies.
