6 goal thriller: Germany shoots down Portugal to blow Group F wide open

Germany has yet reminded everyone why they are regarded as one of the finest football team in modern history. Against Portugal, they displayed world class attacking football with loots of energetic running, aggressive press and shots.

Portugal were dumbfounded with the renewed vigour showed to them by Portugal and then concided not one but two own goals. Frist from Rubian Dias {who Jose Mourinho rated as the best defender int eh world} and then a second from Guerreiro.

Both goals cancelled Cristiano Ronald’s inspired counter attacking run and goal.

The second half saw more of the same from Portugal who sat too deep while Germany pulled the strings and scored the goal. Champions League winner Kai Hevertz made it 3-1 before Gosens made it 4-1.

Diego Jota did pull one back but it was more of consolation goal than a fight back.

The win puts Germany in second place, one point from France who must now play Portugal and avoid a defeat. Germany meanwhile will play Hungary and will need a win to progress.
