Erling Haaland has reportedly reached an agreement to join Real Madrid this summer. The 19-year-old and his agent Mino Raiola are working assiduously to get him to a club where he can win more trophies along with a shot of winning the Ballon d’Or.
Madrid are open to signing Haaland who they believe will be Karim Benzema’s long term replacement. Reaching an agreement with Haaland isn’t a problem but, having to convince Borrusia Dortmund to lower their asking price.
Dormtund want €150m for the attacker and not the €80m most clubs are willing to offer for him.
But with Kylian Mbappe’s deal looking more complicated than straightforward, Madrid might as well as ditch the French now and offer €130m for the Haaland which will likely be accepted.
If Dortmund don’t sell Haaland for €130m now, they stand to lose €65m next season when his 75m buy out comes into play.
