Denmark have advanced to the quarter final of the Euro 2020 after crushing Wales 4-0 at the Johan Cruyff Arena. The Danes have a reason to fight on and win the tournaments for the their friends and teammate Christian Ericksen.
Against Wales, the Danes disciplined another level of football never seen before by the fans or the manager. Everyone was shell shocked by the level of concentration, fierce determination to win and clinical finishing in front of goal.
Kasper Dolberg scored the first of the day with a fantastic piece in the 27th minute before scoring a brace just two minutes from restart.
Dolberg ‘s brace makes him the second Denmark player to score two goals in a knockout game at the European Championships after Henrik Larsen v Netherlands in 1992.
In the closing minute of the match, Joakim Maehle blasts home a left -footed striker from close range to make it 3-0 and instantly end Wales hopes of remitting their historical run to the quarter final.
When we thought the embarrement was over, Wales star Harry Wilson got his second booking for the day and was sent off.
With a man down, Denmark were able to inflict more embarrassment to Gareth Bale and others by scoring a 4th of the day.
Denmark will now play either Netherland or Czech republic for the a place in the final and in their current form it will be wise not to rule them out.
