Barcelona have offered Liverpool the ample opportunity to resign their former playmaker Philippe Coutinho. The Blaugrana giants are currently struggling to dispose the Brazilian along with 6 other players as they plan to restructure the team by clearing out dead woods who earn humongous wages.
According to Diario AS, Barcelona are considering freezing Coutinho out of the team if a reasonable offer don’t come in for him or, send him back to Liverpool for just €20m.
Sending him back to Liverpool will ensure Coutinho don’t play 10 more games that will automatically trigger a clause in contract signed with Liverpool back in 2018. If Coutinho plays 100 games for Barcelona, Liverpool will be paid €20m and Barcelona are hoping to avoid that.
Three ways to avoid paying is to send Coutinho out on loan to any club ready to match his wages; sell him to Liverpool or whoever is ready to pay for him and finally freeze him out of the team.
