How do you sell average players who earn top dollars to clubs who don’t really need them or have the money to pay their current wages?
Such is the predicament Real Madrid is struggling to deal with. The club is currently trying to reduce their wage bill by selling off players who lack the prerequisite skillsets to take Real Madrid to the next level under Carlo Ancelotti.
Players like Gareth Bale have to go knowing he will cost the club 31m-a-season if he stays and create a problem as a non-European player unless one of Eder Militao, Vinicius or Rodrygo leave. His earnings alone is a problem and Real Madrid will be better off selling him than keeping him.
Luka Jovic is another example of player Real Madrid are struggling to get rid off. The $70m striker has struggled for consistency and form since he joined the club two seasons ago.
The club want him gone but are struggling to find a club ready to pay $50m for an overrated striker.
Isco is another player Real Madrid are hoping to sell but can’t find a club ready to pay $30m for the attacker. Carlo Ancelotti do like him at the club but, Real Madrid need quality not numbers.
Another player Real Madrid don’t really need is Dani Cabellos. The 24-year-old is without doubt a good player but, get the feeling he is not the type of player Real Madrid. To put bluntly, Cabellos is an average midfielder.
Other players Real Madrid are struggling to get rid off include; Mariano, Jesus Vallejo and Eden Hazard.
