Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann. The 27-year-old is currently deemed surplus to requirement and free to leave once a good offer comes in for him.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta revealed during Memphis Depay opening that the French man is in the market and he will be sold to any club capable of paying his asking price.
According to the Sun, Griezmann is wanted by Chelsea who are reportedly offering him less than what he earns at Barcelona.
Chelsea are open to paying Griezmann £170,000-a-week and not the £300,000-a-week he currently earns at Barcelona.
Although, the wages will substantially be improved if he can prove his time at Barcelona wasn’t a sign of diminishing return but rather, a system of football that naturally don’t suit his skillsets.
