How will Harry Kane be remembered in next 10 to 15 years by fans who love and hate him? To those who love him, he will be remembered as an incredibly gifted striker who created records with Tottenham Hotspur and England by leading both club and country to the final of the Champions League and European Championship.
And to others who hate him as a ‘near miss captain’ who has never won a single meaningful trophy in his entire career despite scoring 220 goals with 65 assists.
Such a remark must never be allowed to stand cause Kane is too talented to be tagged a ‘trophy-less captain’ whereas Dani Alves a full back has won 43 trophies and counting.
But Kane should also know he is not getting any younger and judging from how club’s treat aging stars he has rethink his future with Spurs.
Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and even Sergio Aguero’s exit from their respective clubs has proven that club’s can be mean when it comes to kicking their once dependable captain and talisman once they cross 30.
So rather than leave only with the adulation of the fans at the Tottenham Stadium, its time Harry ditch Spurs and move to a world class team capable of winning him 14 trophies in 5 years.
Manchester City are reportedly willing to break the bank for him and all they need is for him to be the bad guy who pushes for a move.
Mr good guy has failed, its time Kane moves on.
